Hey all, I just wanted to post a picture of my nursing pin. If you don't already know, the symbol in the middle is the yucca plant (google it if you don't know what it looks like). I'm in Albuquerque, New Mexico, so that's why the yucca plant (state plant).



My program is actually a high school program. You apply your sophomore year, and start your junior year, then graduate senior year with an LPN (also known as an LVN in some states).

It's cool because in New Mexico, there's not really much of a difference between an LPN an an RN (unlike other states), so I can do a lot of stuff (like IV's, meds and charge nurse duties and stuff like that), and work right along with the RNs!


I plan to go to school and get my MSN so I can teach, because it seems like so much fun, but until then, I'll be working as an LPN trying to put myself through school .:)

I have a sleeveless black and white wallpaper hoodie, and I need to wash it. I was thinking I should try to shrink it too. If I wash it in warm water, it might shrink, but will the black and white run together? If so, do you think they will run if I do cold water?

I just need to clean it, and preferrably shrink it. Should I was it cold first, then do it hot?
